Welcome to Special Star. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://specialstar.in (the “Website”) and the purchase of our products and services. By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. About our product

Special Star offers a symbolic star-dedication gift. We assign you real astronomical coordinates (Right Ascension and Declination) from the publicly maintained HYG Stellar Database and record your dedication in our private registry, along with a personalised digital experience, certificate and (for physical packages) a printed keepsake.

Important: Star naming is a novelty/symbolic gift. It is not officially recognised by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) or any government or scientific body, and confers no legal ownership of any celestial object. You are purchasing a personalised commemorative experience, not property.

2. Orders and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Website under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree to provide accurate, complete information (recipient name, dedication date, delivery address, etc.). We are not responsible for errors in the details you submit.

3. Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not store your card or banking details. An order is confirmed only after payment is successfully received.

4. Delivery

Digital deliverables (QR experience, certificate) are delivered by email/WhatsApp, typically within a few hours. Physical items are shipped as described in our Shipping Policy.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Website — designs, text, graphics, the experience and certificate templates — is owned by Special Star and may not be copied or reused without permission. The personalised message you provide remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to use it to fulfil your order.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, offensive, infringing, or that impersonates others. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that violates these Terms, with a full refund where payment was taken.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Special Star shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the Website or products. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, India.
